I have been painting in oils for around eight years, following a years tuition at University. I mainly paint landscapes and animals inspired by places I have visited around the world, but I have also painted scenes from my local area of Southsea and Hampshire. I currently paint as a hobby, but have started to build up a bit of a collection of pictures and have set up this website to share my work. Many of my paintings are created for friends and family, but I am now a member of the Portsmouth and Hampshire Art Society and show my paintings in their annual summer exhibitions.
I like to paint a variety of pictures, but I particularly enjoy painting skies, as there are so many colours and shapes in the clouds and the best effects often come from experimenting.
